Strategic Evolution of GAP Plastomère SARL within the Schauenburg Hose Technology Group
The Schauenburg Hose Technology Group develops, manufactures, and markets innovative hose and ducting solutions worldwide. In Europe, the Group operates three production plants in Germany, complemented by a site in France — GAP Plastomère SARL, based in Montélimar and part of the Group since 1994.
The Schauenburg Hose Technology Group is aiming to strengthen its European organization to ensure greater efficiency, faster deliveries, and long-term competitiveness in a dynamic market environment. As part of this strategic reorganization, GAP Plastomère SARL will, in 2026, evolve into a dedicated sales and logistic center for the French market.
This development is part of the Group’s broader European strategy.
Leveraging Strengths to Drive Growth
Within this new structure, the production of thermoplastic hoses will be consolidated at the Group’s German manufacturing sites, while the production of stitched ducts will remain in Montélimar. The objective of the Schauenburg Hose Technology Group is to align its manufacturing processes and products more closely with customer expectations while harmonizing them across the European Market.
Going forward, GAP Plastomère will ensure the continuity of sales and logistics for standard products in the French market. A major warehouse located in Montélimar will enable shorter delivery times through a wide availability of standard products.
The Schauenburg Hose Technology Group is also implementing integrated logistics solutions, supported by two central warehouses in Germany. This structure will allow for optimized stock management, faster order processing, and improved delivery performance.
“This transformation is driven by a single goal: to serve our customers even better,”
stated Olivier Fichet, Managing Director of GAP Plastomère SARL.
Continuity and Commitment
The sales team of GAP Plastomère, with its strong technical expertise, will remain the main point of contact for all French customers, ensuring smooth communication with the production sites. This customer proximity along with a high level of service, coordinated from GAP Plastomere in France, will continue to guarantee optimal support — including tailored solutions for specific applications.
For all customers outside France, the Group’s dedicated export sales managers will take over.
Throughout this transition, our top priority remains the reliability of our service and the quality of our products, ensuring we continue to meet our customers’ needs effectively.
A Future-Oriented Evolution
This development further strengthens the Group’s long-term position as a trusted partner in the field of flexible hose and ducting solutions.
It also opens new perspectives through an expanded product portfolio, optimized European logistics, and an even more responsive approach to customer expectations.
“By concentrating production where it is most efficient and by further developing our commercial and logistics structure in France, we ensure faster and more reliable service — and create the foundations for sustainable growth, both for our customers and for our Group,”
said Peter Endres, Co-CEO of the Schauenburg Hose Technology Group.
Our sales team in Montélimar, together with our regional and export sales managers, will contact our customers in the coming days to provide more details about this transition and its benefits.
